Hemangioblastoma Overview:
 
- They account for about 2% of brain tumors and 10% of tumors in posterior fossa.
 - Mean age of patients with hemangioblastoma is 20-40 years, with a male predominance.
 - Radiographically, they are typically a cystic tumor in the cerebellum with enhancing mural nodule.
 - They can be differentiated from renal cell carcinoma with immunohistochemistry (positive for vimentin and negative for EMA).
 - Metastatsis and glioma are the main differential diagnosis.
